A new study shows that the more time teenagers spend on the Internet or playing computer games, the less likely they are to do homework. The study surveyed more than 1,000 students in the United States between the ages of 13 and 18. Students who spent one hour a day on the Internet or playing computer games outside of schoolwork had lower grades than students who did not. Students who spent three hours or more on the Internet or playing computer games had significantly lower grades than students who spent less time online. The study also found that students who spent more time on the Internet or playing computer games had less time for sleep, and were more likely to be overweight.
