To promote academic success, your university is considering a new policy that would limit the number of hours per week that students can spend working at university jobs. Do you think is a good idea? Explain why or why not, using specific examples and details in your response.

1Part-time job

2Part-time job

I think universities should limit the time for students to do part-time jobs. Part-time jobs can help students pay for their tuition and living expenses, earn working experience and build social network. However, if students spend too much time doing part-time jobs, it can produce negative effects. First, it may be hard for students to manage time to keep the balance between work and study. They may not have enough time to do their assignments, resulting in failure in academic performance. Second, students will feel stressful with all these things to deal with, which may cause mental problems, and this will be harmful for their health. Also, the more time students spend in working, the less time they hang out with their friends.

The researchers have observed that some animals would engage in landmarking behavior, migrating to another habitat to find potential mates. In the listening material, there is evidence from an experiment why they think so. The butterflies in the first group tend to stay close with each other, so there are fewer potential mates in the local area. The butterflies from the second group tend to fly to high places for reproduction, like a mountain top where the researchers discovered male and female pairs.
