科学家都认为动物是凭着自己的本能去建造东西,但是最近发现动物其实也是learn knowledge,具体讲了鸟筑巢的例子。鸟类筑巢其实是根据经验去学习的,否则无论鸟的年纪大小,筑好的巢应该是一模一样的。
方法1:weaver birds,在小的时候筑的巢会有洞,但是随着鸟长大,后面造的窝会越来越结实,这就证明了在building the nest的过程中,这种鸟其实是有能力去学习的,learn from experience;
方法2:finch,实验的人给了这组鸟两种材质的线,一种比较软,一种比较硬。一开始这类鸟筑巢这两种线都会去用,但是后来发现soft的线doesn\'t work,所以它们后来就只用另外一种线。

The professor takes two examples to explain it. First, weaver birds. When they are young, the nests they build have wholes. But as they grow up, the nests they build become stronger. It proves that in the process of building the nests, these birds have the ability to learn from experience.
Second, finch. The researchers gave them two kinds of threads, one soft ,one hard. At first, the birds used both threads to build nests. But later the birds found that the soft threads didn’t work. They only used the other kind of threads to build nests.
