What are the types of measurement scales?

There are four types of measurement scales:

1. Nominal Scale: This is the simplest scale of measurement where data is classified into categories or groups without any quantitative value. Examples include gender, race, religion, and occupation.

2. Ordinal Scale: This scale of measurement ranks data in a specific order, but the differences between the values are not equal. Examples include rankings, grades, and levels of satisfaction.

3. Interval Scale: This scale of measurement has equal intervals between values, but there is no true zero point. Examples include temperature, time, and IQ scores.

4. Ratio Scale: This is the most advanced scale of measurement where there is a true zero point and equal intervals between values. Examples include weight, height, and income.
